Gruene Hall was built in 1878, and is Texas’ most famous and oldest continually operating dance hall.  By design, not much has physically changed since the hall was constructed.  The 6,000 square foot dance hall with a high pitched tin roof still has the original layout with side flaps for open air dancing, a bar in the front, a small lighted stage in the back and a huge outdoor garden.

Gruene Hall has evolved into a well known destination tourist attraction and major music venue for both new and well established artists.  Many famous artists have performed at Gruene Hall, including the likes of George Strait, Garth Brooks, Jerry Jeff Walker, Merle haggard, Robert Earl Keen, Leann Rimes, Miranda Lambert, Jack Ingram, Hootie & The Blowfish, Pat Green, Willie Nelson, and many more.

Gruene Hall features live music daily.  Check out our event calendar for highlights of upcoming performances, or the Gruene Hall website for more information.  If you’re in the New Braunfels, Gruene Hall and many of the nearby attractions are perfect additions to any trip to the area.
